Competitive Entries - What and Why?
Competitive entries are a vital part of the New York State Fair. In 2010 over 40,000 individual entries were made in various categories, such as culinary, arts and crafts, cattle, dairy goats, rabbits and many more.
People from all over New York State compete with their animals and projects at the New York State Fair. Here they compete against each other - some winning prize money to help with the cost of raising their animals or to help fund their college education. Some compete just for the honor of winning the coveted "Blue Ribbon" or "Grand Champion Rosette". Young and old alike join in the fun of entering. Join others... enter your best cake, prettiest flower, largest pumpkin or favorite pie!

How Do I Enter?
- You may enter by downloading the files and entry forms from the list below and sending it in or dropping it off to our office.
- Contact the Entry Department by Phone: 315-487-7711 ext. 1336 or 1337
- You may also enter competitions online by clicking the "Enter Online" link for those competitions that are eligible from the list below. Any competition marked with "N/A" are not available for online entry.
All entries must be received either in person at the Entry Department office at the State Fairgrounds by 4:30pm or online by 12:00 midnight on the specified competition deadline date.
