International Book Fair in New York City

From May 5 to 30, 2021, one of the largest convention centers, the Jacob K. Javits convention center of New York, the BookExpo America 2019 International Book Fair was held. The event was organized and hosted by the American Book Publishers Association. Leading political, cultural and academic figures support and participate in the exhibition.

BookExpo America is one of the world’s leading book forums. Leading authors and major publishers of scholarly literature participate in the event. The best titles from around the world are selected for display at BookExpo America.

The first BookExpo America was held in 1947, since then it is held annually in the largest cities in the United States (New York, Washington, D.C., Los Angeles, Chicago). The event traditionally gets the widest media coverage in the world and arouses great public interest.

BookExpo America, held for the 72nd time, became a worldwide platform dedicated to technologies and trends in book publishing, distribution and copyright issues. A significant place in the work of the event took the sphere of scientific and scholarly literature. A distinctive feature of BookExpo America is globalization and representation of participants from all the leading countries of the world. The organizers have invited and participated in the event more than 500 interested persons and publishers from more than 60 countries of the world. More than 100 round tables devoted to the topical issues of modern book publishing were held within the framework of the forum. Employees of the Academy of Natural Sciences took an active part in discussing the issues of publishing scientific and educational literature and provided promotion and popularization of their authors’ books on international platforms.
