State Agriculture Commissioner Darrel J. Aubertine today announced the following event that will be coming soon to the New York State Fairgrounds.
If you’re thinking about warmer months ahead, you won’t want to miss the Central New York Boat Show at the State Fairgrounds beginning Wednesday, Feb. 13 and continuing through Sunday, Feb 17.
With over 500 power and sailboats for sale in the Center of Progress Building, the Horticulture Building and the Exhibit Center, the CNY Boat Show is the largest event of its kind in Upstate New York.
Boat types will include everything from cruisers, sport boats, pontoon boats, and personal watercraft. Also, don’t miss a limited amount of luxury motor yachts on display.
The show will also feature a variety of seminars including: Freshwater Angling with Captain Tony Buffa, In the Water Life Vest Demonstration from Dave White with the NY Sea Grant, and Young Boater Safety from USCGA. All seminars are free with show admission and occur at select times and dates.
The Boat Show will be open from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday; from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $10 for adults; children 13 and younger are admitted free. There is no extra charge for parking. For more information, visit the show’s website.
Apart from the annual New York State Fair, the Fairgrounds host dozens of agricultural events throughout the year, including some of the Northeast’s most prestigious horse and livestock shows.
The Fairgrounds, home of the Great New York State Fair, is a 375-acre exhibit and entertainment complex that operates year round. A year-round schedule of Fairgrounds events is available on the Fair’s website.
