State Agriculture Commissioner Darrel J. Aubertine today announced the following event that will be coming soon to the New York State Fairgrounds:
A Springtime ritual for 22 years now, the Home and Garden show is a must for central New Yorkers where they can gather ideas about home building, home improvement projects and set up appointments with experts. Organized by the Home Builders and remodelers Association of Central New York, this event is one of the largest home improvement expositions in the Northeast. More than 800 exhibitors will fill the Fairgrounds’ Exhibit Center and the Center of Progress Building.
The show will run from 2 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday, March 15; from 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 16; and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 17.
Admission is $8 for adults and $7 for seniors. Children and youths age 16 and younger will be admitted free. A weekend pass can be purchased for $12.
In addition to the annual New York State Fair, the Fairgrounds host dozens of agricultural events throughout the year, including some of the Northeast’s most prestigious horse and livestock shows.
The home of the Great New York State Fair is a 375-acre exhibit and entertainment complex that operates all year. A year-round schedule of events is available on the Fair’s website.
