The New York State Fair is once again offering discounted advance sale admission and ride tickets to Fairgoers as part of their ongoing efforts to make sure that the Fair remains a place where families can enjoy a full day of entertainment at a good price.
“Our biggest goal is to make sure that families can come to the Fair and enjoy big name
entertainment at Chevy Court, petting zoos, a nationally renowned circus and so much more for the just cost of admission,” said Dan O’Hara, New York State Fair director.
The $6 advance sale admission tickets offer a 40-percent savings off of the $10 admission price charged at the gate. The newly introduced Strates Shows Midway FunCard will be available for $14.
This FunCard will contain $24 worth of ride tickets representing an over 40% savings.
The FunCard System replaces traditional ride books and individual tickets with a single electronic, bar coded card that can be used on all of the of the rides on both the Midway and at Kiddieland. This will be one of the first times that the FunCard is used at a major Fair in New York State.
The advance sale admission and ride tickets will go on sale at the Fair Box Office and hundreds of other outlets throughout New York State starting July 13. The box office is open from 10 am to 4:30 pm.
Advance sale tickets will be available through Aug. 24, the day before the 2011 Fair begins. Tickets purchased after that will cost $10 per person, the same price as last year.
Admission for children age 12 and younger is free.
